日常英会話レッスン−イギリスのスラング−The Police!
/Hello again. Last week I had a lovely conversation with a young policeman who caught me crossing the road at a red light. He was very nice about it but it was a little embarrassing being lectured by someone who looked like he was still in high school. Anyway in the U.K we have a few different slang words for the police here are a few of them.
the old bill
the coppers
the rozzers
the boys in blue
He was quite right though and in a situation like this you can use these expressions.
He caught me red handed. ( I was caught right in the middle of doing it)
He had me bang to rights. ( He was completely correct and there was no room for argument)

またまたこんにちは。先週若い警察官ととっても素敵な会話をしました。なぜなら私が赤信号で道路を渡ったからです。彼はとても良い人だったのですが、私は高校生に見えるぐらいの彼にレクチャーされ少し恥ずかしい思いをしました。まぁとにかくイギリスでは警察に関わる幾つかの異なるスラングがありますのでご紹介します。
