皆さん、数日前まで気温30度位だったなんて信じられますか？夏はすでに遠い記憶のかなたに追いやられ、秋がすごい勢いでやって来ました。
毎年、夏が過ぎ秋が来る頃になると、私は少しブルーになります。どうしてこんな気持ちになるのか、正確には分かりません。でも子供の頃から、秋の気配を感じると少し憂鬱なシーズンになるのです。
秋が嫌いな訳ではありません。秋は福岡を訪れるのには素晴らしい季節だと思いますし、秋の食べ物や風景を本当に楽しんでいます。
それでも、秋の訪れはいつも私を憂鬱にさせるのです。

With a vengeance: 大きな力や強いなエネルギーを持っていること。何かが予想よりも強い勢いで起こる事を強調する時に使う。

Can you believe that it was about 30 degrees just a few days ago? Summer already feels like a distant memory and autumn has come with a vengeance. Every year when summer is gone and autumn has arrived I feel a little bit blue. I’m not sure of exactly why that happens but I do find autumn to be a slightly depressing season ever since I was a child. That’s not to say that I don’t like autumn, autumn is a great season to visit Fukuoka I think, and I really enjoy the autumn foods and scenery but yeah the beginning of autumn always makes me feel blue.

With a vengeance: With great force or extreme energy. Used to emphasize that something happens to a much greater extent than was expected.

Ex. I thought I had recovered from my cold but at night when I was drinking with my friends in Tenjin it came back with a vengeance. 

Feel blue: Be depressed or sad

Ex. I always feel blue when it rains.
