ウィンザー英会話からハッピーハロウィン！

こんにちは、みなさん。

前回のブログ記事からしばらく経ちました。
今年は平尾浄水にあるキッズスクールで過ごす時間が増えており、それ以外のことをするのに十分な時間を見つけるのが難しくなっています。

年月が経つにつれて痛感したことの一つは、私たちのスクールが改善し続け、発展し続け、成長し続け、その可能性を最大限に発揮できるようにしたいのであれば、英語を教えることから一歩離れて、すべてのエネルギーをマネジメントに集中する必要があるということです。
なぜ「痛感」という言葉を使ったかというと、年月が経つにつれて、私は英語を教えることが大好きだということに気づき、それから離れるのが非常に難しいと感じるからです。
英語を教えることから離れることが一時的なものであることを願っています。
教室に戻るのが楽しみです。

最近私が毎週担当している数少ないレッスンは主にこどもや若い方向けです。
面白いことに、20代の頃は自分がこども向けの先生だとは思っていませんでした。
しかし、今では英語を教えている唯一のクラスであり、おそらく私が最も楽しんでいるクラスです。

今週はハロウィンの週で、こどもたちはみんな仮装をしています。
たくさんのプリンセス、ハリー・ポッターのキャラクター、鬼滅のキャラクターやドラえもんがいて、講師やスタッフも仮装しています。
私は今まで、新規の生徒さんと面会する仕事があり、独裁者や消防士の格好をした私とその生徒さんが会うのは変だと思っていて、仮装をする機会がありませんでした。
ですが、今日ようやくこどもたちと仮装をするチャンスがやってきました。

私はフワフワで大きい猫になりますよ！みなさん、ハッピーハロウィン！

Happy Halloween

Hello everyone,

It’s been some time since I posted a blog. I have been spending more and more time in our kids' school in Hiraojosui this year and it has been hard to find enough time to do other things I want to. 

One of the things I have painfully realized as years go by is that if I really want our school to continue improving, continue developing, continue growing and reach its full potential, I need to take a step back from teaching and focus all my energy on management. I say it’s painful because as the years go by I have also realized that I love teaching, and it has been very hard for me to stop doing it. I hope this change is temporary and I can’t wait to get back to the classroom. 

Recently I have been teaching very few English classes every week and these classes are mostly for kids and younger learners. It’s funny cause when I was in my 20s I never saw myself as a kids teacher whereas now they are the only classes I am teaching and probably the classes I enjoy the most. 

This week is Halloween week and the kids all come dressed up. We have many princesses, some Harry Potter characters, some Kimetsu characters, some Doraemons and all our teachers and staff have dressed up as well. As for me, I haven’t had a chance to dress up yet cause I had to meet some new students and I thought that it would have been weird for them to meet me dressed up as a dictator or a firefighter but today I finally have a chance to dress up with our kids.

I’m going to be a giant, fluffy cat! Happy Halloween everyone!
